Medical Excellence JAPAN (MEJ), in collaboration with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), participated in the ISAN Wellness Summit held in Khon Kaen, Thailand between March 27 and March 28, 2025 as part of the promotion of the MExx initiative in Thailand. The two organizations also hosted the 2nd ME Japan-ME Thailand Forum in parallel to the ISAN Wellness Summit on March 27, 2025.
In addition, 7 companies exhibited at the JAPAN Pavilion during the event.
Dr. Kenji Shibuya(CEO of MEJ) gave a keynote speech at the main stage of the Summit on March 27.
Afterwards, Dr. Ngamnetr Eiamnakha of the Department of Health Services Promotion, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand (MOPH DHSS) was invited as a moderator for a panel discussion featuring Dr. Shibuya and Prof. Khunton Wichajarn of Khon Kaen University, an expert in the field of genetic medicine.

2nd ME Japan-ME Thailand Forum Meeting
The theme of the 2nd Forum Meeting was “Transforming healthy living through aging and wellness care.“
First, the following four persons gave opening remarks.

・Mr. Ryosei Mizuguchi, Health Care Industry Division, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry
・Dr. Manami Uechi, Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA)
The lectures were followed by talks on anti-aging health checkups and health management initiatives by two speakers from the Japanese side.
・Increasing Healthy Life Years with Anti-Aging Health Check-ups/ Dr. Yasuhiro Nishizaki, Department of Health Management, Tokai University School of Medicine
・Japan's Lifestyle and Worker Wellness Approach Approach/ Mr. Kenji Muramatsu, Visiting Researcher, Research Center for Future Vision, The University of Tokyo
Afterwards, Dr. Kenji Shibuya(CEO of MEJ）moderated a round-table discussion, in which, in addition to the five speakers, Dr. Ngamnetr Eiamnakha from the Department of Health Services Promotion, Ministry of Health, Thailand, and Assoc. Prof. Cholatip Pongskul from the Wellness and Medical Innovation Zone Administration Center, Khon Kaen University, participated as Thai experts to discuss collaboration and future prospects in the field of wellness and health management between Japan and Thailand.
In closing remarks, Assoc. Prof. Cholatip Pongskul of the Wellness and Medical Innovation Zone Administration Center, Khon Kaen University, gave closing remarks and the meeting was concluded.
We will continue to plan future events in collaboration with ME Thailand.
