MEJ launched the MEJ Forum composed of medical institutions, medical associations and societies interested in medical globalization. MEJ provides MEJ Forum members with opportunities to engage in mutual exchange and share knowledge and expertise.
MEJ recommends hospitals that have the desire and are working to accept such medical travelers as Japan International Hospitals (JIH), and disseminates relevant information overseas in cooperation with the Japanese government.
JAPAN Hospital Search is a portal site where international patients can access information on medical travel to Japan in order to receive Japanese medical services. This site is managed and operated by Medical Excellence JAPAN (MEJ).
An Accredited Medical Travel Assistance Company (AMTAC) is a company accredited by MEJ as one that meets the criteria set by the Medical Globalization Task Force/“Inbound” Working Group.
The public-private missions visit the targeted countries with Japanese medical doctors to build networks with representatives of the government of the country (health ministry, etc.) and executives of national hospitals. This is something that is difficult for individual companies to do on their own, but it can be done through industry-academia-government collaboration with the cooperation of medical doctors to promote the globalization of Japanese medical services.
